How long does a warehouse decommission typically take?
Timelines depend on facility size, equipment volume, and your lease deadline. Conesco builds a phased project plan up front, with Gantt charts and site maps, so you know the schedule before work starts. Crews mobilize fast and scale up when tenant exit dates are tight.
Can I recover value from my old racking and equipment instead of just paying to remove it?
Yes. Conesco’s buyback program covers racking, conveyors, mezzanines, and other material handling assets. Instead of treating decommission as a pure cost, you get an evaluation on what your equipment is worth and a plan to convert it into recovered value rather than disposal fees.
Who handles permits and code compliance during teardown?
Conesco manages teardown inspections, engineering sign-offs, and exit compliance requirements. This matters most on corporate leases where equipment was installed under permit. You’re not left coordinating inspectors and landlords on your own.
Do I need to hire a separate company to move or freight the removed equipment?
No. Conesco’s freight team handles logistics end to end, including flatbeds, LTL shipments, live-load scheduling, and permits. One partner covers teardown and transport, so you’re not managing multiple vendors for one project.
What happens to equipment that can't be sold or reused?
Anything without resale value gets disposed of properly, including scrap and haul-away, and Conesco can also route usable furniture to donation where it makes sense. Field crews handle site cleanup afterward, including anchor grinding and epoxy work, so the space is left broom-swept.
